EdTechReview’s new initiative in the space of Open Education Resources (OER) is focused at bringing learning material from the best teachers to the students at a very low cost and faculty development.
For this initiative EdTechReview, India’s Premier EdTech Community has partnered with Progia LLC, a US based company with expertise in the use and creation of OER. Under this project, ETR has started to offer Open Educational Resources (OER) oriented awareness Programs, hands-on Workshops and Services to create courses using OER. These offerings are focused at entrepreneurs, faculties/teachers, authors and policy makers.
"Nearly one-third of academic enrollment across the United States is in online degree programs. Today, students of all ages can earn an Associate, Bachelor or Master’s degree online through one of many accredited universities offering online college degrees. For professionals seeking to upgrade their education credentials to an MBA, they now have the freedom to choose to complete their degree online, from the comfort of their home or office, regardless if it is 2:00 PM. or 2:00 AM. When online college degrees were new in the market, many critics believed the quality of education was not on par with traditional classroom learning.

Dr Debretsion Gebremichael, Minister of Communication and Information Technology of Ethiopia, on last Wednesday to announce that the annual eLearning Africa conference will return to Ethiopia, the country of its inauguration, for its tenth anniversary edition.
